Statute overview

About this statute

These Regulations may be cited as the Aviation (Aerodrome Fees) Regulations, 1985. This section defines key terms used in the Regulations. Landing charges apply at scheduled aerodromes, with different rates for fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and certain training flights; operators must give the aerodrome authority adequate notice of intended flights. A surcharge of 50% of the applicable day landing charge applies to each landing or take-off outside an aerodrome’s published hours. A single surcharge is payable when an aerodrome opens or stays open outside its published hours to act as an alternate aerodrome at the operator’s request.
