1. This Order may be cited as the Local Forest No. P. 320: Title Mpande Hills (Alteration of Boundaries) Order, 2020.

2. The boundaries of the Local Forest No. P. 320: Mpande Hills, are altered by the deletion of existing boundary description and the substitution therefor of the boundary description specified in the Schedule.

3. Statutory Instrument No. 51 of 1973, is amended accordingly. Alteration of boundaries Amendment of S. I. P. 320: MPANDE HILLS Starting at beacon MK64, the boundary runs a bearing 48 degrees from a distance of 375 metres to beacon MK63, thence on a bearing of 14 degrees for a distance of 500 metres to beacon MK62; thence on a bearing of 28 degrees for a distance of 225 metres to beacon MK61; thence on a bearing of 44 degrees for a distance of 400 metres to beacon MK60; thence on a bearing of 16 degrees for a distance of 260 metres to beacon MK59; thence on a bearing of 14 degrees for a distance of 300 metres to CR; thence on a bearing of 52 degrees for a distance of 3300 metres to beacon MP2; thence on a bearing of 30 degrees for a distance of 840 metres to beacon MP3; thence on a bearing of 44 degrees for a distance of 825 metres to beacon MP4; thence on a bearing of 115 degrees for a distance of 4900 metres to beacon MP5 near the source of an unnamed tributary of Namilale River; thence down this stream to its confluence of Namilale River; thence down this river to beacon FB2; thence in a north-westerly direction to beacon MK64 the point of starting. All bearings and distances are approximate. Included within the area described above but excluded from the protected forest area is the Iron and Steel Economic Zone, approximately 1,800 Ha. The above described area in extent 2490 hectares approximately is shown bordered green on the plan No. F.R.358/2, deposited in the office of the Surveyor General, signed by the Surveyor General and dated 16th July, 2019.
