Statute overview

About this statute

This section gives the short title of the Regulations. This section defines key terms used in the Regulations, including beehive, bee keeping farm, bee enterprise, holder of a permit, and permit. If you intend to import or export honey, bee, or a hive product for sale, you must apply to the Director for a permit in Form I and pay the prescribed fee. A person who wants to operate a beekeeping farm or business for sale must apply to the Director for a permit using Form II. Applicants for permits to import or export honey, bee or hive products, or to operate a bee keeping farm or enterprise for sale, must undergo routine health surveillance and meet local and export market standards.
