This is the preamble to a Kosovo law on ownership and other real rights. This article sets the scope of the law on real rights: it covers creation, content, transfer, protection, and extinguishment, including ownership and certain limited real rights. Any person may acquire real rights, unless the law provides otherwise. The holder of a real right may assert that right against any person, unless the law provides otherwise. If several property rights exist in the same asset, their priority is determined by the time they were created, unless a law provides otherwise. If acquiring a real right depends on the buyer’s good faith, good faith is presumed unless proven otherwise.
